Waste and Want
November 10th, 2007
UK-based designer Peter D’Alessandro has come up with a clever solution to chopping board woes, mainly the grievance caused by unwanted mixing of waste scraps and edible parts to be kept. Two magnetic trays sit at either side of the wooden board–one to collect waste and one to collect chopped pieces. Waste and Want’s removable trays contain both what you want and what you don’t for easy transport to the plate, pot, or wastebasket.

Bootleg Wine
August 18th, 2007
These are a set of really cool packaged wines by Click Wine Group.
The packaging of Bootleg wines provides an ultra-clever update on the image of Italy as a boot-shaped peninsula. Each bottle is sleekly shrink-wrapped to look as though it’s clad in thigh-high leather, while a sexy zipper that running the length of the bottle further suggests that the wine is utterly well-heeled.

Levi’s Mobile Phone
June 23rd, 2007
Levi’s recently announced that they will be releasing a Levi’s Mobile Phone.
“The Levi’s® phone embraces mobile technology and enables young people to connect, enjoy music, exchange images and videos whilst on the go.
The functional essence of the Levi’s® brand’s design philosophy is perfectly captured by the phone’s compact design and sturdy riveted steel casing. A unique detachable chain provides a clever design solution that allows users to fasten their phone to their jeans or bags.
The Levi’s® phone is offered in metallic silver, black and brown copper. Stylish feminine “shiny silver” and “shiny sand” editions, featuring a ‘mirror’ screen have also been created for the fashion forward.”
After the Levi’s iPod pants, this shouldn’t come as a big surprise.
