LoveIt Jewelry
Did a shoot with Teddy for LoveIt Jewelry at San Pedro, kept it casual and real. All shot with medium format and had a blast! Met some cool people and I can’t wait for another session!

Hong Kong
One of the craziest cities in the world. Giant mix of cultures all in one densely populated city. What I love about this city is that it keeps pushing forward while maintaining pockets of its traditional scenes. You can walk by the latest and greatest in one end. Or take a ferry to the outlaying islands that have been living in time capsule since the 70’s. Every year I go back there is...

Paris BW
Black and white batch from Paris, should really start labeling my film because its VERY easy to forget what iso you shoot them at. The city is so photogenic, was overcast everyday so everything you shoot has perfect soft light! Here are some more street shots of people and the vibe of the city.

Paris
First time in Paris and it blew me off my feet. This place is absolutely amazing! Beautiful architecture and culture everywhere. One thing I loved is how there is only graffiti and tags on the outskirts of the city and once you get near the historical structures everything is completely clean (unlike LA) Parisians respect their culture, good for them. Cafes are the way to go, it’s so easy to...

LA 10-10-10
Don’t you hate it when you walk by someone and you say “Damn, I wish I asked for a photo” or “That would have been a good shot”? Well sometimes all you have to do is ask. I spent the weekend roaming in LA’s artist district taking photos of locals. It’s great when you can connect with strangers through photography. You’ll be surprised how open people...

Commissary
Out n about, hit up boardners in Hollywood to to see Locksley but by the time we got in the band was finishing! Way to go bouncers! On side note the commissary in Costa Mesa is a sweet spot. Hidden in the corner of the Lab, black interior down a long bar, good music. Tried FOUR lokos that tasted like jet fuel and syrup, don’t do it.

CDM Tide Pool
First time visit to the Corona Del Mar tide pool, man its a cool spot! Basically its a rocky shore and during the day the water level lowers revealing beautiful habitats of mini sea creatures. The rocks look like mini landscapes from the erosion of salt water + waves so its def a unique look. Go during sunset as the sun goes down right in front of you in the ocean, gorgeous view! Accidentally...

Sparkle Silverlake
After a night of stuffing our faces with all you can eat Korean BBQ we went for a much needed stroll around Silverlake to walk off the grease. End the night with some sparklers, who doesn’t love sparklers!

Muse + Passion Pit
Managed to snake some GA tickets to the Muse + Passion Pit show @ Honda Center. I’ve heard lots of good things about Muse and their live acts and they put on one helluva show! They started off on 3 giant pillars that were covered with sweet vfx. Played all their epic hits and a fan even proposed on stage. Go him!

SF, Mare Island
San Francisco & Mare Island with orangetuwie. Love the city and the intense food runs, SFers know how to eat! If you’re ever in the Mission, MUST go to Tartine Bakery. Get the banana cream tart you will not be disappointed. Even took a tour around the ex Naval base in Mare Island. It was a huge naval base during the war.

LA & Thousand Oaks
Nomad weekend, couch surfing and fire pits. Hung out with @carmenchan at her magic loft in the heart of LA. Spent some time going through her stack of shoots and picking out the ‘ones’. She been super active in photography lately, make sure you check out her work. 2nd half was up at the Thousand Oaks to chill with some pals. Happy birthday Matt!

Canadian Invasion
My buddy Joel (35combos) and his homie Johnny (Host & Producer at MTV Movie Night in Canada.) hopped over the border for some Cali sun. After cruising around Melrose they decided to stop by the pier and get some sand in their shoes, now watch them dodge the waves like kiddies!

Redondo Beach
Giant pelicans at Redondo Beach waiting to steal fish off the fishermen when they catch anything. People would have to guard their baskets/tubs or else it will get raided by the pelicans! If you have a chance go eat some of the oysters there. They have a oyster bar with 20+ species! Little dusty on some frames, left these on my desk for too long before I had a chance to scan them.

Pacific Festival OC
Orange County’s mini music festival! They converted the roof of triangle square into a venue! Music by Miami Horror, The Sounds, Steve Aoki and more. Night full of crowd surfing, champagne spraying and ended with a silent disco with Skullcandy. Pretty rockin’ night.

Hardfest afterparty
After spending the day at the beach we didn’t make it to Hardfest, but went to an afterparty at the hills instead. The DJ’s included Them Jeans , DJ Neoteric, Cosmic kids and others. Only had my Rolleiflex with me that day so in goes some Illford 3200. Just as I was getting ready to develop the roll I accidentally unraveled the film so it has some intense light leaks around the edges,...

Hong Kong
I only get to visit home once a year and every time I go back the city is always changing. Whats hot this year is either closed or a new joint a year later. Buildings you never knew existed suddenly pop out of no where. Super fast paced city, crazily dense and will always be home.

Tokyo 2009
Urban jungle, sim city paradise. Tokyo is by far the busiest city ive been to, staying above the Shibuya crosswalk makes me feel like I’m watching lemmings all day. As crazy as this city is I’m surprised by its ability to maintain its culture while growing full tilt. Mannerism is huge too, I wish everybody was this polite!
